Kudus to Chelsea feels like a classic @graceonfootball.com “don’t have to move houses” transfer
Understand Chelsea have had an exploratory approach for Mohammed Kudus knocked back by West Ham, who have sent Carlos Soler back to PSG. Plenty of clubs interested in #WHUFC's Kudus besides #CFC

I owe you an apology, Facebook comments. I was not familiar with your game. This is a quality joke.

This film from 1977 is shockingly prescient if you replace “zinc oxide” with “stuff from China” youtu.be/yo5g2LLxKHg

I just realized that I would drink a lot more beer if I had a nice deck or a covered porch. It’s probably a good thing my house is a shitty un-updated 1950s Cape Cod.

People keep describing Pete Hegseth as mediocre and I wish they’d stop. As a mediocre person myself, I consider him to be well beneath my level.

Update: my local TJ gave up on eggs this weekend because Trump continues to take egg

I know there are terrible things happening in the world right now, but it’s important to celebrate the small victories

One day I’m going to tell my grandkids about a time before Trump when eggs came in dozens instead of individually packaged eggs and they were so abundant, they cost less than $20 for 12 and commoners like me would literally “scramble” eggs for cheap, easy breakfast.

As a Japanese expat in the US, this feels super familiar
Imagine a guy in the US showing his support of Canada by becoming a weird weeb about Canada.

Like he's now dressed as a lumberjack, he keeps talking about the fine steel of his Yukon-honed axe, he ostentatiously sips aged maple syrup out of an authentic flask signed by Dan Akroyd himself, etc

My wife, who is lovely, smart, and appreciative of the good things in life, went to Trader Joe’s and got all the best produce she could find - tomatoes, avocados, and peppers - because that shit don’t grow in the States in February.

I feel like Democrats learned the absolutely wrong lessons from the 2024 elections.

They think they lost because they were too far to the left, when they really lost because they did what they’re doing now: ignoring people’s real concerns and pumping out pleasantries.
if a major politician held an emergency rally about the current ongoing coup by the richest man in the world, I think people would go to it. Shit is well and truly fucked. I can think of a couple of people who should do that right now.

Late January is the time of the year when I see a barrage of cruise ship ads and think, “Bungee jumping looks fun but why would I want to to pay hundreds of dollars to do it while trapped on a building-sized Petri dish of airborne viruses with the carbon footprint of a million SUVs?”

So the one thing I’d forgotten since Jan 2021 is how spineless that dude is. Like, he has zero appetite for putting in the work to get the votes.

Also his Rolodex is basically people he’s seen on Fox News.
Hegseth will withdraw. DeSantis will take the position with little real problem. Might even get some Dem votes to be honest.

Just going through the motions now.

I was trying to explain the Trump dance thing to my non-terminally-online family and they'd never seen it* so they made me do the Trump dance and it was the most humiliating thing I've ever done

*or so they say
