Absolutely 100% facts. Dnd is an experience for us all and the dungeon master’s fun comes partially in being proud of the story you tell.
TTRPG ToD: If the game you're running goes off in an unexpected direction, it's ok to ask everyone else for some time away from to the table to consider what happens next. Not everyone can successfully improv on the fly, and if that's what you need, your game will be better for you taking it!
