If evidence has been destroyed, juries are instructed that they can assume that evidence would have shown the defendant's guilt.

Piers Morgan appeared on a TV series where he played a news commentator spreading lies. I look him up in real life. He authored a book spreading homophobia. He interviewed Kevin Spacey. "Kevin is either a racist, sexist, or homophone", I assume to myself. I google Kevin. First 2 confirmed.
