Running into someone again, glad to be reconnecting, but my defense mechanisms are completely on high alert, and it’s probably unfair of me. She was always a good friend even when my brain didn’t quite see it.

My internal model for the current news is that this was functionally a fraternity of sorts and going to the Island was kind of a blackmail ‘buy in’ to some kind of guys club/investment cartel. Ultimately, GM’s involvement suggests it reaches further up into state level intel circles somewhere.

Juice boxes are interesting to me, one of the few products where you never see the actual product. This gets highlighted if you pour one out into a glass and realize it is completely different color than it seemed to be “flavored” as.
