We're only going to graduate 14 middle and high school English teachers this spring, but they are 14 really good ones. The teacher shortage seems to mean only the good ones make it, which is good for the students who get a certified teacher (less than half in Missouri) and bad for everyone else.
Last day of class with my baby teachers. I bought them pizza; they all wrote notes to me in a card. We all tried not to cry. It was such a perfect cohort of baby teachers for this really rough semester of my life.
