I think this is my favorite podcast this year.
New Ringer NFL Show: Brian Daboll's out. What now?

I gave @dannyheifetz.bsky.social 5 candidates to be the next Giants head coach.

His reactions were hilarious. And he stunned me with a coach trade proposal.

Honestly if you’re the owner who let him make the Luka trade I don’t think you should be allowed to fire Nico this fast. You stink too, you should have to stew in it for a while.

"They don't try." - @brandonleegowton.bsky.social at 36:37, accurately describing why the Eagles offense makes me insane

I don't think trading Quentin Grimes for Caleb Martin was a good move but this is a little strong, in my view.
Obviously the timeline was sped up by the Kyrie injury, but this always seemed like the end result of the most insane and indefensible trade in modern NBA history.
Shams: Mavs officially firing GM Nico Harrison.

"A defining characteristic during the Giants’ extended malaise is overrating their talent. That trait was on display when Mara used the supposed strength of the 2024 draft class last January as a primary reason for retaining Schoen after an embarrassing 3-14 season."

Brian Daboll was only part of the Giants' problem. Why is Joe Schoen still here?

I am hereby demanding a moratorium on all QB rankings until we decide whether QBs are the most important contributor to winning by such a significant margin that nearly no other position in the NFL matters or if QB wins are irrelevant and not to be cited to bolster QB arguments.

Jordan Love is one of the four best QBs in the NFC North.

It’s even worse than I thought. He was prepared to repeat the Falcons Week 2 debacle last year when there was no circumstance where kicking to go up by 6 was ever the right decision.

If I could teach the Eagles offensive staff one thing it would be that going 3-and-out is, in many ways, functionally identical to a turnover and they should try to avoid doing it at an incredibly high rate.

Nick Sirianni, coming off the bye, you are fired again.

Now the Eagles should try 4 consecutive tush pushes.

Very glad the Packers did not attempt the exceptionally dangerous QB sneak there. A slow-developing run to the outside was the right call.

The correct comp for DeVonta is Allen Iverson.

I need the broadcast to start lying to me about the impact the wind is having on this game.

Unironically, AJ Brown should be the new OC and his first drive should be this one.

That run from the Eagles was disgusting behavior. Just absolutely repulsive. Why even have a roster this good if you're doing that?

Eagles now 0-for-11 on the season when running the ball on 3rd and 11+ while they chase the modern record for Coward's Draw percentage.

Jordan Love is such an undeniably great QB. Why does anyone ever suggest he's a totally gutless loser who loves losing?

Simply will not throw the ball downfield to their good WRs.
The Eagles opened the game with a 16-play, 77-yard drive that ended in a Jalen Hurts fumble.

Since then:

3 plays, 3 yards, punt
3 plays, 8 yards, punt
5 plays, 7 yards, punt

11 plays for 18 yards.

That stretch of the game where the offense just can't do anything.
