The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour has a proud history of uniting and representing workers since 1936.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Shame on the Alberta government for using legislation to strip workers of their right to strike and to free and fair collective bargaining.

We stand in solidarity with the teachers and all workers who oppose these heavy- handed measures.

MUN plays a crucial role in our province. It has a special obligation to the people of this province.

That obligation can't be met without proper funding.

We stand in solidarity with the students, faculty, and staff who are fighting to protect this vital institution.

To be crystal clear: it's not about what the scientists "told CBC News", not just informed opinion. The science itself is very clear. You can question perhaps the degree of NL contribution to climate change, but it's fact that the oil from here is a contributor. Full stop. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

The advantages of unionization are obvious, so why don’t more workers join unions?

Employer-led union suppression strategies are a key explanatory factor.

By invoking 107 of the Labour Code to force an end to this strike, the Liberals are trampling on flight attendants’ Charter rights and handed Air Canada exactly what it wanted. Crushing workers’ rights is not fairness, it is siding with corporate greed and betraying every worker in this country.
The Liberal government has invoked Section 107 of the Canada Labour Code to end a strike by Air Canada flight attendants fighting to end unpaid work and poverty wages.
