Honest question if you have a moment to respond: wasn't tenure basically gutted by USG? Perhaps I misunderstood the changes that happened a few years ago, or at least their magnitude. I certainly hope so!

*honestly* an iPad maybe a fine upgrade path from my old laptop? I mostly just want something decent to travel with. But I do fear the fact that it's not a "real" computer would eventually annoy/inconvenience me enough that I'd wish I just had a laptop.

yeah, I also mostly play console, of course, but my desktop is starting to really show its age even for more general computing tasks. My laptop is even worse in that regard. I could probably get away with upgrading only my mobo/cpu/RAM on desktop, but I dread the laptop upgrade.
