i'm at a 6 on my worst night but my brain insists i'm at a 3 on my best, and my brain is my biggest hater, so i can't tell which grade is more accurate; luckily, my throat won't lie to either of us--
i really enjoy the hillbilly comics, which are set in a dark fantasy americana and follows the adventures of a hillbilly monster hunter; my only criticism is that there aren't any fantasy counterpart native americans, but there are fc african americans (which makes me like it even more)--

finished playing little hope; i managed to keep my favorites alive at least, so i'm satisfied with the choices i made-- overall, i think i like little hope more than man of medan~ tried to play the next dark anthology game but it wasn't available, so i'll have to wait*

i don't like video games or ttrpgs that punish players for using magic; cost-based systems are fun but i hate when playing a magic user means you're working twice as hard to be half as effective at whatever the main objective is (usually murdering goblins, unfortunately)--

note to self: hack for writing whimsical magic: spells (by whatever name) can never solve problems or create opportunities; a spell may allow a caster (by whatever name) to change a situation into a differenr one less frustrating but more confusing, or vice versa--

I hate the trope in stories where someone is a bad dad and husband but he does ONE heroic thing and is a big hero and everything is fine.
Like there probably won't be a big moment where you fight a dragon or a terrorist.

i'm working to develop a "literary mocumentary" style of tale-spinning; a confession cam moment becomes a journal entry quite intuitively-- perhaps an interaction with the camera crew becomes an exchange of letters with an archivist of some kind~ i think other reality tv tropes may be invoked*
