On Twitter I always felt I can't talk about everything I want, because people who follow me would be interested in one thing but not in the other. So I posted almost nothing. I want to change that here, as much as I already feel bad for spamming non asian drama people with asian drama content daily.
I've finally started #fatedhearts (very fun so far). And when that princess said she fell in love with a guy she saw once, I went: ofc. But when they showed the actual flashback? "I don't kill women." Girl, really? The bar is in hell! (And I strongly suspect even that was a lie). #cdrama

I know these end of the year statistics every platform does by now are just for fun, but I feel it's getting a bit out of hand and I really don't know how healthy it is to have my whole online life and my hobbies put into numbers and statistics, so I mostly ignore them by now.

I planned to do the #EYDC2025 until I realised that I only finished 2 dramas this year that weren't rewatches. 💀 ( #learningtolove and #cinderellacloset - the latter was my favorite drama this year) I've become such a ruthless dropper that I ditched #romanticsanonymous on ep 7 of 8. #jdrama

It's WIP week for #showmeyourknits and I have continued to work on my 1930s sweater. I'm ridiculously addicted to embroidering these little flowers, which is good, because I will have to do A LOT of them. #knitting 🧶

I watched the first episode of #thaiGL #clairebell and wow the production value definitely went up since I watched a thai girls love drama the last time. Great visuals and acting. Happy to see that the genre seems to do well.

Drama Joy Challenge Day 1: Stunning Costumes
I'll go the obvious route and pick a #cdrama : Legend of Shen Li. The visuals and costumes kept me in that drama almost until the end. #dramajoychallenge

One of the *good* media surprises of the last while was how good Teen Vogue has been. This is regrettable news that is of a piece with other takeovers and shutdowns in media.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

One of my crafty goals for 2025 was more vintage #knitting 🧶and doing something with #embroidery. Took me a while to find the right pattern, and then THIS came along. While the whole styling, dog and awkward smile and all makes me laugh, I just really love this cute 1930s "coat jumper".

I started #romanticsanomynous yesterday and was positively surprised. The synopsis sounded like a k-romcom with mental health issues as quirky props, but so far it's not like that at all. There is background for their conditions and we experience their daily struggles with them. #jdrama

Finished it but skipped through the last 6 episodes. It was a fun ride, but it had no business being 26 episodes long. The shameless redemption arc the male villain got (opposed to the female villains) made me roll my eyes. #kdrama
I'm watching The Last Empress right now, and I didn't know how much I needed a makjang #kdrama in my life. Everyone is awful, everything is ridiculous, it's great.

I watched #jdrama #learningtolove. I loved the first 4-5 episodes, the rest was fine. It started out as these complex people meeting under unusual circumstances but ended as a pretty standard age gap romance that glossed over a lot of issues to wrap everything up pleasantly. Still enjoyed it a lot.

The real generational divide is people who refuse to watch a video if it could be an article versus people who refuse to read an article if it could be a video

This week's motto for #showmeyourknits is joy. Months ago I felt a little witchy and decided I needed a sweater with little moons on it, so I designed my own. Still missing one cuff and bottom ribbing, but I'm mostly happy with it. It could be a little more polished, but I learned a lot. #knitting 🧶

It's time for my favorite nerdy competition of the year: The #jigsawpuzzle world championship, where you can watch people assemble 500 piece puzzles in under half an hour. And most of them are women!

I fucking hate AI art.

It takes away the pure joy I feel when seeing a piece of art work knowing that a human being has talent to create something so beautiful from mind to hand to materials used.

Is there a faster way to sell me a book than "Yes, women *can* wield big cleavers"? I doubt it. (Okay, "new book by Ilona Andrews" probably would have done the trick as well).

smth i always like to see, is when people can criticise things they love. we criticise what we love because we care, but that doesn’t take away the love we have for that thing.

Finally gave myself permission to ditch #theprisonerofbeauty (amazing first 10 episodes though) and started #adreamwithinadream. God, I love dramas that make fun of drama/romance tropes. I fear it will fizzle out too, but Episode 1 was gold. #cdrama

The absolute worst drama dumpsterfire I ever watched is #cdrama "Well-intended love". It starts as a typical contract relationship romance and plottwists into some psycho thriller shit that the viewer for some reason is supposed to find romantic. Spoilers in comments if you want to know.
Drama watching friends, what is the WORST dumpster fire you have ever watched? Must have seen at least 2 whole episodes before dropping!

Today I went to the book store to order 3 new circle of colors puzzles. And then I went to a toy store and bought a 4th. I might be a little obsessed.
