I watched the first episode of #thaiGL #clairebell and wow the production value definitely went up since I watched a thai girls love drama the last time. Great visuals and acting. Happy to see that the genre seems to do well.

Drama Joy Challenge Day 1: Stunning Costumes
I'll go the obvious route and pick a #cdrama : Legend of Shen Li. The visuals and costumes kept me in that drama almost until the end. #dramajoychallenge

Since I've never done #embroidery and the vintage pattern of course just tells you to "embroider flowers" I went on a youtube and practice spree. I'm getting better and I enjoy it more than I thought i would. Those daisy stitches and french knots are so satisfying to do. New hobby? 🧶

Since my left wrist decided to protest knitting on top of computer work, I put myself on a knitting ban for a few weeks and decided I'd slowly start on the embroidery (done with my right hand). So I went on a shopping trip.

Back and front panels done. Started with a provisional cast-on instead of ribbing, something I often do with bottom up garments made from limited amounts of yarn. It lets me control the length and playing yarn chicken or adding a ball from a different dye lot is less of an issue. #knitting 🧶

And my small stash even had a yarn for it: this lovely blue Filcolana Arwetta. I used a smaller needle size (3.25) because Arwetta is too fine for what the pattern wanted, it still mostly worked out stitch gauge wise, but I had to add 2 repeats length wise. #knitting 🧶

One of my crafty goals for 2025 was more vintage #knitting 🧶and doing something with #embroidery. Took me a while to find the right pattern, and then THIS came along. While the whole styling, dog and awkward smile and all makes me laugh, I just really love this cute 1930s "coat jumper".

Still missing one cuff and bottom ribbing, but I'm mostly happy with it. It could be a little more polished, but I learned a lot. #knitting 🧶

"Miss no Good". One of the later dramas of that era of really popular taiwanese dramas with loads terrible overacting. It's bad, really bad. But I can't help myself, everytime she starts a conversation with his hairdryer I'm just giggling happily. Also: Rainie Yang.

It's cowls week for #showmeyourknits I knit this one in a knitting slump from some Drops Baby Merino scraps. The longest floats in this pattern are three stitches long which makes it a really relaxing stranded colorwork project and I loved it so much that I knit the hat right after. #knitting 🧶

My current WIPs für #showmeyourknits . The blue one just needs some finishing work done, while the yellow is driving me slowly insane. It's only a 4 stitch repeat, but the fact that you have to reestablish it on the weird side after every garter stripe makes it prone to silly mistakes. 🧶

I love when subtitles teach me something about the language. Back in the day when almost all subtitles for asian dramas were fansubs, subtitles always had so many interesting footnotes.

It's lace week for #showmeyourknits 🧶 I love lace, knitting it makes my brain really happy. So I enjoyed myself a lot making this all over lace sweater. I finished it last autum, so I can't wait for spring to finally wear it! #knitting #knitsky

At first I thought I didn't have a project for this week's #showmeyourknits and then I looked at my WIP for #FinishitFebruary ... A 3/4 circle skirt that was meant to be a mindless tv knitting side project, but I stopped reaching for it, so it's time to get it finished. #knitting 🧶

Felting is wild. From ugly sock for giants to cozy slipper. -It was my first time felting that's why I did one shoe first in case something went wrong. Glad I found a use for that bulky yarn a well meaning friend gifted me a year ago. #knitting
