What that reel describes is (western) continental knitting. People wrapping their yarn the wrong way around for that style is the most common cause for unintentionally twisted stitches. But that's not the only knitting style. To me it sounds like you might be an Eastern knitter.

I totally get why you recommended it. "Different" is what I want to look for more in the new year, so I have saved the playlist and give it a try once all episodes are out. Thanks for the tip that it's on youtube!

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll put it on my list and give it a try if I ever get that IQ subscription.

And I don't necessary need a drama in the same vein as CC, I mostly liked it for the portrayal of two people struggling and dealing with gender stereotypes and expectations in relationships. It hit a nerv with me this year.

I've always been switching between the regions over the years, so I'm totally fine with cdramas taking a backseat for a while. As you said, I'm sure there were some I would love, it's just that the popular shows didn't land with me this year.

I plan to finish #adreamwithinadream eventually, because that is a great one, but apart from that I just couldn't get into a single #cdrama this year. 🥲

It's definitely a theme and has been for a while. "Still marry me" (aka "The woman who still wants to marry" is an older one from 2010. It's also a noona romance. mydramalist.com/109-the-woma...

I started looking for gloves with an art deco vibe the other day, and I found that the cabling on these (with some alterations) came close. There is also a book (art deco knits), but I find all the patterns in that one meh. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...

I really need to finish it. I was a bit put off by that arc where she made fun of the other performer's weight on stage and I didn't like how that was resolved, so I took a break and haven't picked it up since.

In a lot of cdramas the male lead has to be larger than life. Super successful, ceo at 21, juggles multiple busineses, best at everything he touches but still has time to constantly protect/lecture/stalk the FL. It's so refreshing.

I've yet to finish this drama, but one of the many reasons I really like it is that her main love interest is just a dude. Lives in a van and does freelancing stuff. He supports her and mentors her without scolding her as if she was a child.

Since I've never done #embroidery and the vintage pattern of course just tells you to "embroider flowers" I went on a youtube and practice spree. I'm getting better and I enjoy it more than I thought i would. Those daisy stitches and french knots are so satisfying to do. New hobby? 🧶

Since my left wrist decided to protest knitting on top of computer work, I put myself on a knitting ban for a few weeks and decided I'd slowly start on the embroidery (done with my right hand). So I went on a shopping trip.

Back and front panels done. Started with a provisional cast-on instead of ribbing, something I often do with bottom up garments made from limited amounts of yarn. It lets me control the length and playing yarn chicken or adding a ball from a different dye lot is less of an issue. #knitting 🧶

And my small stash even had a yarn for it: this lovely blue Filcolana Arwetta. I used a smaller needle size (3.25) because Arwetta is too fine for what the pattern wanted, it still mostly worked out stitch gauge wise, but I had to add 2 repeats length wise. #knitting 🧶
