This is the graphic that apparently was enough to justify an investigation under an Indiana state law that allows students to report faculty for not teaching "a diversity of viewpoints".

What diversity of viewpoints are there when it comes to white supremacy? Are we supposed to pretend it's good?

While my wife takes their hearing aid licensure exam, I wait for the Coquitlam IKEA to open. The best part about being very early is that I get a prime parking spot!

Happy birthday to my mother! I credit her with doing so much to get me where I am today. :-)

Thank you!

Cheering for Minnesota sports teams is a true labour of love---key emphasis on labour. Especially the Gophers---besides women's hockey and wrestling, not a lot to get excited about regarding the University of Minnesota athletics program. Now, the Duluth campus on the other hand..:-)

I'm very honoured to share the stage with Dr. Kelsey Leonard and Dr. Joshua Manitowabi at an upcoming webinar, where we'll discuss the chapter on Water Justice we contributed to the STACC Report.

It will be on Friday, November 22nd at 9 AM Pacific — I'd love to see you there!

I have an idea for another Anishinaabe-themed half sleeve tattoo, but in the meantime, I might get this little fellow tattooed on one of my forearms.

Why? Because I enjoy their bagels, and he's honestly an adorable little mascot.

This is what I’m talking about when I call out folks trying to be cowboys about organizing.

“Why aren’t the elderly folks or women getting tear gassed or getting their heads cracked open at ICE facilities like us real socialists” is absolutely terrible analysis & does nothing to build momentum.

Some photos from the small No Kings/No Tyrants rally in Victoria today.

(I got consent and enthusiastic encouragement to include the faces of the two people in picture 2)

Tonight, I'll be presenting about some of the qualitative and mixed-method research I've done to a qualitative methods graduate seminar at Texas State University. I'm excited to return to San Marcos (albeit virtually); here's me & folks from the Texas State Geography department at my 2023 seminar!

Also, for no reason at all, if someone wants to buy me this inflatable Mothra costume, I would absolutely love that. I’d buy it myself but they don’t sell it here in Canada. Boo.

We visited the Kennedy River Bridge and a few other sites, guided by a local settler ally, and it was a profoundly moving experience. I wanted to have someone from Tla-o-qui-aht lead the tour, but my two contacts were busy — perhaps next time.
