The people speaking about the slaughter of Palestinians the same way Hitler/Nazis spoke about the slaughter of Jews, while trying to guilt and shame me into doing the same, don’t know I lack the capacity their parents instilled in them: to believe they are endowed by God to dehumanize other groups.

The Democratic Party has a struggle in being a strong opposition to Trump/GOP because so many “understand” their racist justifications, sense of entitlement over the lives/lands of non-whites. In order to receive their non-racist grace, we must obey and believe Palestinians deserve slaughter.

There shouldn't be anyone in need of food or shelter within a 15 miles radius of that #church, if they worship #Jesus.

A million Muslims live in New York City. We belong here, as does every other New Yorker.

This is vile Islamophobia from the Councilwoman and it has no place in our city.

This story is the place where two of the worst trends in journalism--"My job is to police anything that I can pretend is an excess of the left" and "Contrarianism is the greatest of all virtues"--meet, have sex on top of a rusty alley dumpster, and pass out in each other's arms.

The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

The turn to slop is something we actually have a lot of power over. We choose what art we engage with and whose art we engage with. We have the ability to choose films based on original ideas, to read books instead of just doom scroll, to talk about poetry instead of just Vanderpump.
