When Trump threatened to restrict funding that supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, we sued.

Now the Trump DOJ has backed down and agreed to drop these illegal restrictions.

We shouldn't have had to fight for this. But we did, and we won.

From the start, these prosecutions were baseless attempts to persecute Trump's perceived political opponents.

Today a judge said enough is enough.

I stand with my friend
@newyorkstateag.bsky.social, Director Comey, and all those illegally targeted by this Admin.
NEWS: The criminal cases against James Comey and Letitia James are gone. A federal judge ruled that the appointment of Lindsey Halligan as the lead prosecutor was illegal.

DOJ could try again, but there are other headwinds.

Everyone deserves access to clean drinking water. Together with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, we’re holding corporate polluters accountable for contaminating our water supply, this time in the Pohatcong Valley.

Who hates libraries? The Trump Admin apparently.

Fortunately we just stopped them from destroying your favorite local reading corner.
Just in: Federal judge blocks Trump admin effort to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Minority Business Development Agency, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service and the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessnes

From the beginning, we’ve made clear that Trump’s use of the National Guard for his extreme political agenda and domestic law enforcement purposes was illegal.

Now another judge has agreed.

President Trump must stop this unlawful and damaging deployment.
NEW: The Court has ruled that the National Guard deployment to DC is illegal and granted a preliminary injunction.

As we made clear from the beginning: the US military should not be policing American citizens on American soil.

This is a victory for DC, Home Rule, and American democracy.

Transgender Day of Remembrance is a solemn reminder of the deadly consequences of hate.

We’ll continue fighting every day to make New Jersey a place where our transgender neighbors can live free from fear and discrimination. #TDOR

Everyone is required to pay their fair share of taxes. We allege that this defendant was collecting sales tax from his customers, but not paying over that money to the Division of Taxation. This form of tax fraud will not be tolerated.

Honored to join Greater Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in celebrating its 214th anniversary—the oldest Black church in Trenton and a cornerstone of faith and community.

When the Trump Admin tried to illegally cut off access to $85M in education funding for NJ, we took them to court—and we won.

Now the Admin has agreed to back down and preserve NJ’s access to this funding.

We’ll never stop fighting for our students, families, and schools.

What a joy to meet the iconic Ruby Bridges while celebrating her legacy with Hillside Public Schools for Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day!

At just 6 years old, Ruby became a trailblazer, transforming history with her bravery, and today she continues to inspire us all to fight for change.

As NJ families rightly worry about rising healthcare costs, we will not tolerate health insurers defrauding the State and overcharging us for healthcare for our dedicated public servants.

My team will hold anyone accountable—no matter how big or powerful they are.

Platkin: They didn’t go to the mat to make sure people could eat. They didn’t go to the mat to make sure people could afford their health care. But they sure as hell made sure they could make hundreds of thousands of dollars on our backs based on some bogus theory of how they were harmed.

AG Platkin: I went to law school, I chose to go into public service, I took the same oaths these folks did.

What part of that oath says "You will use the privilege of power that you have to starve children"?

Today we announced charges against 14 defendants for their roles in a multimillion-dollar illegal sports betting ring.

Organized crime may evolve, but our message is clear: we will pursue and prosecute those who break the law.

Now that the shutdown is over, the Trump Admin has confirmed they are backing down from their cruel threats to take away SNAP benefits from NJ residents.

Thanks to our lawsuit, NJ SNAP users were able to access benefits during the shutdown.

We will always fight for NJ.

Great conversation with Jersey's own

We talked about the evolving role of prosecutors, the importance of justice and accountability, and the lessons public service can teach us all. Insightful and inspiring.

NEW: A federal judge has stopped the Trump Admin’s threats to go after states like NJ that followed USDA’s guidance and made SNAP benefits available to families.

NJ residents continue to have full access to their Nov. SNAP benefits.

We won’t stop fighting to keep it that way.
Judge rules administration can't force states to undo delivery of SNAP benefits
A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order prohibiting the administration from forcing states to undo the delivery of SNAP benefits they had begun issuing.

Everyone in this country—no matter where they come from—is entitled to due process.

The Trump Administration’s expansion of expedited removals threatens that fundamental right, and we’re fighting back.

850,000 New Jerseyans use SNAP—350,000 are children. The Trump admin. has leveraged the full legal might of our government to deny them food.

We stopped them in court, and they told us they’d comply and fund SNAP.

Now they're trying to take it back. This is why we are fighting.
