All I knew was that his name was Jimmy Carter, he was running for president & we got the day off from school to take a photo with him.
I did not know that he would win the presidency, or live such a grand and giving life after his term -- an even greater victory.

White people are once again missing the fucking point. Ending access to safe abortion was never about White Women in the first place. It was about increasing the maternal death rate of Black mothers and anti Black eugenics which is why White Women voted in favor of it at a rate of 57%

The Democrats are plagued by highly paid consultants who convince them that liberal policies are going to alienate moderate voters. Those voters know almost nothing about policy expect what they learn from the Republicans. A good consultant would know this.
The Democratic Party has too many very educated people who think about things critically and not enough people who are just as educated and just as critical in their thinking but who also understand deep in their bones that most voters are ignorant af and can be moved with enough effort.
