Chalk. That's the big threat here at OSU. I can't think of a more obvious way to say "we're afraid of what you have to say" than to ban chalk.
The Columbus Dispatch picked up the story about OSU’s ban on chalking, and our criticism of the policy. Chalking is a traditional way for students to express thoughts and creativity publicly. This restriction undermines free speech and open dialogue, crucial for a vibrant academic community.
Ohio State bans chalking on campus. One faculty group calls it an 'assault on free speech'

This also destroy the research and innovation engine that powers our economy, health, national security, national competitiveness, well-being, and overall future. A dangerous and shameful act.
Nature reports that the National Science Foundation has stopped awarding new grants and allotting funds to existing ones. All of them. @colincarlson.bsky.social says that unless the freeze is lifted, it “is going to destroy people's labs.” 2/10

Glioblastoma cancer tore up the brain of someone I loved dearly.

We are approaching highly effective treatment for glioblastoma with mRNA-based vaccines! —> doi.org/10.3389/fonc...

And this conspiracy-soaked cabal wants to throw it away. Forcing more families to endure what mine did.

NIH cuts funding for vaccine hesitancy research and may target mRNA research too
The National Institutes of Health is terminating dozens of studies examining why people are hesitant about vaccines and how to increase uptake. mRNA vaccine research may be on the chopping block, too.
