Enjoyed marshaling at Play Close junior #parkrun in Melton Mowbray this morning - what a gorgeous park they're lucky enough to have!
Especially loved the signs some of the juniors have created! Definitely motivational, if today's awesome jpr's are anything to go by!

Sunday morning amble around Loughborough University campus while OH is at frame running club on the athletics track. A really nice green site with lots of recreational space (unsurprisingly!).
Much nicer than the old Leicester Poly that I went to, back in the day...!

Nice morning out at a very busy but really friendly Brook Leys #parkrun in Cambridge. A good wet-weather course, mostly flat and run on gravel track, footpaths and cycle lanes.
Free parking at the nearby park and ride meant we also had a nice day out in Cambridge too!

Not the nicest day but managed to get away from the laptop for half an hour on the bike.
Local lanes absolutely plastered in mud as farmers are sorting winter fodder for livestock. I completely understand, but it does mean those MTB-handling skills come in very handy!

As someone who very regularly walks, runs and cycles (very occasionally drives) across all three joint ECML/EM crossings around Helpston, this is a very sobering thread.
I have a vague memory of reading somewhere that they are amongst the widest level crossings in the country?

Helpston level crossing gates have failed twice in the last few weeks and if National Rail need me to go and give an illustrated talk on the history of level crossings on that particular stretch of line, I am available...

It was the quite wonderful #Rutland Night Run 10k this evening - an annual fixture in my race calendar. Such fun and quite beautiful running here at night. Longest run post-achilles shockwave treatment so kept to a walk/run strategy. Great company and post-race cheesy chips!

Just had a handful of caramelised chocolate pecan nuts, and I can feel my teeth dissolving. I don't think I've eaten anything so sickly in years.

Another fab night out at #Baston #fireworks. For a tiny village in the Lincolnshire fens, their annual musical fireworks display is amazing!
Local food and live music also add to the experience - definitely worth the entrance fee, which all goes to support local good causes. Thanks #Baston!
