Yeah, no. I'm a contractor, I write for games, and sometimes that means writing 100% of a game's text. I'm a valuable part of the team! Contractors aren't just "support", they deserve to be credited (and treated) better than this

I like how Pete Docter has that extremely unfortunate pull-quote that new Pixar films will shift away from directors' personal stories to focus on "stories with clear mass appeal and universal themes" only for Sony Animation's extremely specific "KPop Demon Hunters" to become a huge hit
Netflix's animated musical film “KPop Demon Hunters” has become the surprise hit of the summer. Fans, culture critics and filmmakers say the film have some theories as to why the movie is connecting.

This weekend highlighted the many ways that Trump and MAGA are, well, deplorable. While sifting through the news highlights (lowlights?), I landed on eight different descriptors, with two SMDH examples each. Link to my write-up: buff.ly/eKMIPnj

i know a lot of you probably haven't heard this story because gun stuff doesn't penetrate into lib circles but this is one of the craziest things happening rn

TL;DR Sig Sauer's P320 is one of the most popular handguns in America and also happens to have a bad habit of randomly firing for no reason

It turns out very rich people are so used to being told they're right that the machine that only says "yes, you're so smart" in statistically likely ways can easily trick them into believing it is as smart as they believe they are.
Putting aside many of the ways this is insanely embarassing and focusing on one mistake you'd maybe think this particular kind of person would not make:

surely a programmer on video games of all things would know better than to draw a conclusion like this about a program from its *output*?
