Hi Bluesky! I'm a freelance illustrator, currently wondering what sort of art to do next, here are a bunch of my alternative poster designs (which I'll probably add to in the future) 😁

Fun fact - Marjorie Taylor Greene will have been a member of congress for five years on January the 3rd. At that point she becomes eligible for the full congressional pension at 62. She’s retiring on January the 5th. Freaking coincidence, huh.

Ultimately, you can't demand some people's exclusion and not expect to show your "credentials" for inclusion; demand femininity be defined and policed, but only for others.

That's the thing with "safe". There's no way of locking others out that doesn't also lock you in. Your fort is also your cell.
"Trans people could be asked about whether they should be accessing single-sex services based on their physical appearance."

No. not "trans people". ANYONE. This moral panic leads inexorably to the policing of women based on their appearance deemed to be "unfeminine".

Fanatic or conman, he's going to kill so many people unless the US gets a fucking grip
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

In an interview, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cited gaps in vaccine safety research. His critics say he is ignoring a larger point: Vaccines save lives.

This is not a peace plan.

It's complete capitulation to the war criminal in the Kremlin, orchestrated exclusively by Trump and his apparent master there without any input from Europe or Ukraine. It is obscene that the White House even saw fit to advance this proposal, let alone issue an ultimatum.

Watched Weapons yesterday - what an awesome film! Absolutely loved it, genuinely creepy and loved how it relieved the tension with almost comedy at the end. Totally brilliant.

(🧵) Just had one of the most upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with AI. As a test, I asked Grok to provide me with 200 statements about “Seth Abramson” that met two criteria: they are (a) true, (b) critical. What Grok returned was the most bizarre series of fabulations I have ever seen. Thus this:

Chatbots are so dangerous but hardly anyone cares, least of all the people selling them
I am by no means a prominent public intellectual, but my inbox is increasingly filled with messages from people who have been convinced by sycophantic chatbots that they have discovered revolutionary theories that entirely upend our scientific understanding of the universe.

Will there be any consequences for Johnson and the rest? Of course not
Findings partic brutal about early 2020, describing the Feb as “lost month”. If lockdown was imposed a week earlier than March 16, it could've cut deaths in England by almost half. Many of same mistakes then "inexcusably" repeated - @peterwalker99.bsky.social
