This will be my #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days (2025) thread on BlueSky.

From August 1st through October 31st, I will add all the horror films I watch for the first time for this challenge.

Letterboxd List: boxd.it/LMwMc

Let's see how far I get this time!
Got a ticket for the Death Stranding concert in London tonight, but I can't make it. If anyone wants it transfered to them (on Eventim) let me know ASAP.

And please share with anyone you think can make it.

Shockingly, it's #LetterboxdFriday again, so it requires my #LastFourWatched.

When a film just glides into my all-time favourites on the first attempt, it's a rare, but amazing feeling.

Thanks to @cinefeast33.bsky.social for tipping me over the edge to finally watch Nashville.
A ★★★★★ review of Nashville (1975)
The traffic jam. The 'I'm Easy' scene. The climactic concert. Just three of the many moments in Nashville where I was thinking, "Damn, this is something special". As the viewer, we sort of drift in an...

Late take on Steam doing a console is that it's good because it's probably the thing I'm missing, because a Steam Deck dock is a horrendously fiddly way to go about having Steam on the telly.

Started Dishonored 2 again, didn't I?

Just to 'try something' on my multi-run NG+ save, and I'm already 5 missions in.

An aural pleasure in games I'm having recently is the Battlefield Studios theme into Battlefield 6 theme when booting up the game.

I rarely skip it. Battlefield theme fucking rocks anyway, but those two variants in sequence? Definition of 'Thumping'.

Gotta be cos it's like the Terminator theme.

It'd be easy to get burnt out by retro-styled survival horror games, but as long as there's confident, refreshing ones like Heartworm, the flame will never die.
November 11, 2025 at 11:17 PM
I won't name them all, but the top bunch are...

Running on Empty (River Phoenix is wonderful and the family on the run plot is engrossing)

Das Boot (A wet, sweaty tension masterclass)

Barton Fink (Beautifully scuzzy)

The Elephant Man (Uplifting, but tragic)
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why

The Big Heat (1953)
Directed by Fritz Lang

An investigation into a suicide leads homicide detective Dave Bannion (Glenn Ford) down a dark path of vengeance in this essential noir.

Thinking about this one again. Definition of a hidden gem, imo.
You should watch Jay Dahl’s THERE ARE MONSTERS (2013), in which some graduate students making a film discover a quiet, insidious apocalypse happening all around them. Invasion Of The Body Snatchers by way of Unedited Footage Of A Bear / This House Has People In It. Feels evil.

Got to watch Taxi Driver at the cinema tonight with my Dad (It's one of his favourite films).

He watched it at the cinema when it first came out, and said it felt just like the first time again.
