Keep seeing posts about how to prevent burnout - healthy sleep etc. I have not slept normally for almost 2 years, as soon as child 3 started sleeping well, child 2 stopped 😴 I am beyond tired 🥱

Being a teacher doesn't mean neglecting your health, well-being, or family. You can't help others if you don't take care of yourself. Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

Does anyone else work for a college like me where you get an annual leave allowance rather than getting all holidays off automatically? #halfterm

In #mathstoday my #alevelmaths group explored transformations of graphs on desmos. They did such a good job working out what was happening with each transformation so I didn’t have to teach them much at all.

Excitingly, Today's the opening day of MathsWorld, the new hands-on maths museum in London. I've really enjoyed visiting MathsCity in Leeds, but they've now got a London location too! Details at mathsworld.com

How have I not come across this fab set of #coremaths resources until now? Anyone know who they are from so I can say thank you! The assorted assessments from London Central and NW Maths Hub were very helpful when prepping core assessment for next week.

Does anyone teach #coremaths OCR B? First year teaching this and finding it challenging, could really use some advice from someone who has taught it before.

1/5 We need to talk about toilets.

Teacher's bladder control is legendary - until it isn't. One of the impacts of perimenopause and menopause is to make the tissue of the bladder less resilient. Sometimes we just can't hang on as long as we used to.

In #Alevelmaths syllabus (we do AQA) are they expected to be able to deal with fractional roots / factors of form (ax+b) using the factor theorem?
