Queer weirdo in Oakland. I like building stuff and supporting art.
So I guess we know that in 2017, Trump was active in child sex trafficking networks when he decided to start taking the children of asylum seekers away from their families at the border without the documentation required to reunite them.

The US has blocked a UN Security Council resolution for an immediate Gaza ceasefire and full aid access. It was the sixth American veto, with 14 votes in favour. The resolution also demanded hostage releases.

Why am I never going to shut up about how terrible Gavin Newsom is? Because I don't like this cross-platform inorganic effort to shut people up about how he much he sucks. I'm not letting a bunch of bots tell me what to do. It's pure oppositional defiance. Lol

Gavin Newsom's policy on homeless people is exactly the same as Trump's policy on homeless people.
I won't ever vote for anyone who sends armed men after my peaceful neighbors.
That's as low a bar as I can manage, truly a bare minimum of democratic representation.

There are some gay guys realizing gay marriage is under attack and talking about indivisible lgbtq solidarity, who need to reflect on why they weren't saying the same thing when it was just trans people's rights in the news.

Sweeping homeless camps and arresting the residents is just as fascist when Gavin Newsom does it as when Trump does it.

I love it when everyone suddenly gets mad about something I've been mad about for decades. Fuck payment processor censorship / discrimination!

When Star Wars Ep1 came out, we all knew a lot of plot stuff that'd have to happen before Ep4 just for continuity.
But Friday came out 30 years ago, and with two sequels I still have no idea how they plan to tie it in to Friday the 13th. That's how you build suspense.

NEW: Democrats have used SCOTUS rulings to galvanize their base — but they won’t do that with Skrmetti, which green lit gender-affirming care bans

One Dem said it’s now a states issue

Another said trans issues don’t poll well

A third pointed me to the Cass report

Democrats Have Basically Given Up Trying to Message on Transgender Rights
“The Supreme Court has ruled,” said one House Democrat. “We’re either a party that supports the rule of law or not.”

Y'all are going to have to realize that using the word felon as an insult doesn't do what you think it does. Most people in for felonies are not dangerous or bad, they just got caught on the wrong side of a fucked up set of laws.

Many/most with felonies are decent, if unlucky, folks in your class.

I get kinda annoyed at people who say "all this because people didn't want to vote for a woman!"

Sexism was part of it, but also Dems consistently caved to Netanyahu and continued writing blank checks to support Israel's aggression despite pressure from voters. Nobody ran on "let's not do that".

Please do not call the police when an ICE raid is occurring. It is highly unlikely that they will do anything to protect those being targeted, and much more likely that they will escalate the situation or allow it to continue. Their work is entrenched in systemic racism and oppression.

If the police are breaking the law (or helping ICE to break it), then calling 911 is unhelpful.
Passing more laws is also unhelpful.
We can't fix it without acknowledging that we have a police problem.

In case you are wondering what started some of the protests yesterday. It's so important to be witnesses to this, and to call your representatives to tell them that this is NOT what Americans want.
