Language often makes vehicular manslaughter sound innocent.

Most headlines today might say: “Fatal car accident” or “Pedestrian death”.

This one from 1971, about #Detroit: “Where commuters run over black children.”

Harsh? No. Truthful and tragic.

Newsflash: in the middle of an almoat unprecedented period of inflation, with enormous uncertainty in the market, buyers aren’t prepared to pay $85,000 for a vehicle.

Great scoop @nytimes.com 🙄

What if the AI+RealEstate+CarPayments Bubble has already begin to burst?

What do we call it?
And how low can it go?

#Nasdaq would need to #crash down over 30% just to even be perceived as more than a correction.

Tasks that are repetitive, dangerous, or dull are automateable. #AI

Here’s @davidzipper.bsky.social sharing some recommendations on how cities can adapt for #autonomous #mobility

The good news: many of the painful lessons from US rollouts have already been considered in Europe, pre-deployment.

Most importantly: we share our public space and transport already.

Tomorrow. Mobility truly offers one of the nicest stages…

We really mustn’t worry too much about the billions that US colleges and universities “lost” to the current administration. My alma maters have more than made up for it…

Now, if only they would expand access…

Quite possibly the worst salesperson ever.

One kill = extra long weekend.

Rather callous - even vile - approach to the value of a human life. But alas… seems par for the course, atm.

Translation: Airlines shouldn’t need to pay a penalty to passengers when they cancel flights at will. They should focus on maximising profit for shareholders instead.

This isn’t a question of safety or convenience. It’s just a question of who is more important. 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🙄

Anyone else at the World Congress for self-driving transport? See you here!

No. No thank you.

The UK’s Fire Brigades Union is not mincing words about an upcoming visit from the US. A presidential visit would “hamper response times and public safety.”

Another tragic #roadsafety failure. And another failure by @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social to write a headline that says what really happened: A driver killed a young boy using a car.

The car was not acting on its own.

“Voluntarily entering…”? There must be a better and more direct way to describe what this man, quite tragically, did.

Reading about a random person eating a burger is not really the incentive to sign up for a “News” service that Apple apparently thinks it is.

I mean, honestly: Did someone get a degree for auch drivel?
