This is "Gaze." It is a 3D printed piece of #art made for an upcoming show at the Otherworldly Arts Collective Safeword art show in #minneapolis. The piece was made using a 3D scan of a live figure model, then the digital form went through extensive processing to become this.
CW: nude art
This might blow the mind of anyone born after 2000:
To watch a video online you had to download a separate video player so that your browser could open the video file.
That's why we all went apeshit about YouTube. Suddenly we didn't need to keep QuickTime, Real Player and Flash Player up to date.

Fun fact: Placing an orange traffic cone on the hood of Waymo vehicles makes them stop where they are and they will not move until the cone is removed... Only saying this so that people know what not to do when they see a robo car driving by... Yeah...
Someone on the Minneapolis subreddit caught Waymos being delivered. We need the City Council need to ban the use of driverless cars. The technology isn't there. Our city cannot be a testing ground for 1.5 ton autonomous projectiles.

AI Slop and the Sora 2 release reinforces a fact that has been forgotten since the advent of YouTube... "Newness" does not equal "Goodness."
We could watch a classic film, or scroll Tik Tok and something "new." One was made to capture your imagination, the other was made to capture your attention.

Android users who used Google Assistant and are annoyed they auto-switched everyone to #Gemini I found out that you can choose to use Assistant as a default!

1) open Google app settings
2) Tap Digital Assistants from Google
3) Tap "Google Assistant"

This is huge news in the #accessibility world. I used to recommend Otter AI to students all the time. #AI companies are again proving that they willingly break the law for revenue (not profit, because no AI company is profitable.

@caseyjohnston.bsky.social I finished reading A Physical Education in my second week of StrongLifts workouts. Your book has been revelatory for me! I've always had my own self-image issues, and decided to commit. Thanks for cutting through the shitshow that is the fitness and health industry.

While AI is being hyped as something that could replace workers, I think it has more potential to replace management. But will it? Probably not, because they are the ones who decide who keeps a job. Will it be them, or the dozen coders who just pushed a new product?
Don't trust the AI boosters.

@404media.co I'm a disability access professional who is dyslexic with ADHD, @josephcox.bsky.social is correct in claiming the use of AI as a "learning style" is not a valid reason for academic accommodations. It could make it harder for people with documented disabilities to obtain accommodations.
