Currently trapped in the Midwest, USA. Grew up watching Star Trek and the X-Files, so I guess you could say I love sci-fi.

Almost half of the country’s health insurance now rests in the hands of a man who once sold miracle pills — with zero proof they worked — on daytime TV.

This is a bigger issue than people realize. Not just jobs lost. But their families losing benefits. Landlords losing tenants. Cities and towns losing revenue. This is how recessions start

Ready Fire Aim is no way to govern.
More accurate, fewer words;

"There are plenty of contractors going under".

A friend furloughed 75% of staff (furlough w/paying for health insurance for three months), 50% exec pay cut, 25% rest of staff to keep as many people w/salary.

PS: Wasn't 18F a government office, not a contractor.

Trump's 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 to our ally in the Oval Office is a DAMN SHAME.

Denigrating a democratic world leader while sitting next to him has not only jeopardized our work with global allies. Once again, Trump's ego just put our national security at risk.
"You're either going to make a deal or we're out."
President Trump to Ukrainian President Zelenskyy : "The problem is I've empowered you to be a tough guy. I don't think you'd be a tough guy without the U.S. You're people are very brave. But, you're e...

Today was the day people are going to really understand that US is now a puppet state of Russia, run by pathetic lapdogs, and the remaining free world is going to have to accept the new reality, realign itself to keep the hope of freedom & democracy alive in these increasingly bleak times.
While a lot of people are criticizing Zelensky for letting Trump ambush him, European leaders have been effusive in their praise and support for him.

He came here and refused to be humiliated and shored up Europe's spine for what is coming... the break with the United States.
Indeed, the person most responsible for Donald Trump allying with Vladimir Putin and betraying Volodymyr Zelenskyy is... Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

I couldn’t understand most of what Trump said to President Zelenskyy over him choking on Putin’s dick.

What if there were a coup, the US government fell to a drug-addled oligarch who seized control of our money, secrets, and levers of power, and Corporate media did not report on it?

If you're freaked out that I'm suddenly following you, it's because I used one of those apps to find everyone I follow on Twitter. Also, hi!

Watching TNG S1 "Where No One Has Gone Before" and between Wesley's knit sweater and The Traveler's snazzy pj's, I really look forward to the fashion of the future #StarTrek #StarTrekTNG

A rewatch of #StarTrek ENT is on my list of things to do over holiday break. Off the top of my head, here are my favorites (that no one asked for) from each season

1. The Andorian Incident
2. Regeneration
3. Azati Prime
4. Observer Effect

Subject to change on rewatch 🖖
In August, I started a Star Trek: Enterprise rewatch. Last night, I finished. While it ended prematurely, this show will always have a special place in my heart. Like a fine bottle of (blood) wine, Enterprise gets better with age…

Here are my favorite episodes from each season. 🖖🏼

Finally got Star Trek Picard S3 on Blu-Ray today. Kicking myself for not ordering the Steelbook before it sold out. Based on what I've seen, I don't trust Paramount or any other streaming service, so I'm going to start building my collection of physical media.

Here from a dying Twitter (makes me sad because it once was a great community). Mostly following Star Trek related content but will add other interests as I get used to yet another damned social media app 🖖
