As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Today, I kept my mouth shut instead of saying something dumb*.

(* dumb = "something I have strong opinions about, but that would be unhelpful in a practical, professional sense.")

I would like a mini Reese's cup and some head scritches, please.

CBS News' Weijia Jiang: "Did the president ever spend hours at Jeffrey Epstein’s house with a victim?"

Last night, in need of some mindless entertainment, I picked up the video game Megabonk. My first run piqued my curiosity. By my third run, I was hooked. When I put the controller down for the night, it was past midnight.

I regret nothing. Megabonk is great.

I subscribed to Aftermath this year, and it has been consistently excellent. The quality of the writing and the range of subject matter are both well worth your support.
As you may have seen, we've launched a brand new website today! And while we're excited about some of the big stuff involved--like a sale and new payment methods--here are some other neat features we hope readers and newcomers will appreciate.

Doing chess puzzles at the outer limits of my skill is very exciting. There's a good chance I'll get it wrong, but the things I'll learn by getting it wrong will be very helpful.

Are there any reviews of PLUR1BUS by BIPOC critics? Please drop me some links, especially if it's by a critic you follow.
PLUR1BUS is an enthralling show, and also a horrible title for anyone who says things out loud ever.

Lydia showed me what it was like to be truly loved by a cat. She crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, and I am wracked with grief.

I love that my favorite gaming site also runs articles about things only tangentially-related to games. You should support @aftermath.site if you're able.

I can hear "Not Like Us" played at Mamdani's election party, and it's a blissful confluence of things that spark joy for me.

Congratulations, Mr. Mayor-Elect.

To put the state of the US in gaming terms:

Most of us are playing a buggy, overtuned survival horror game, while a select few can afford the DLC that turns it into a cozy farming sim with the sole objective of getting the highest score you can.

I was absolutely going to send money to @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social today. Man's been working so hard, he looks like he needs a cup of coffee or thirty.

Then I remembered: His campaign hit the fundraising maximum months ago.

I am once again asking you to stop sending us money... but we STILL need your time!

Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever fully get over Sleater-Kinney not having Janet Weiss on drums. I guess it was exhausting being an S-tier rock band for so long.

There isn’t another explanation for not doing everything in your power to keep her. What - you *want* to have worse songs? C’mon now.

I'm so inspired by @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social and his campaign. There's so much about contemporary politics that depresses me bone-deep. By contrast, Mr. Mamdani's joy is obvious, and his desire to improve the lives of NYC citizens is enormously endearing.
