So, agents wear masks in public for “fear” of being doxxed when it is part of their job to be accountable for their actions, but members of the public with Constitutional rights have their liberties stripped by the government that uses a third party organization that…(checks notes)…doxxes?
DHS used anonymous pro-Israel site to target activists for deportation, agency says in court
DHS said at a trial Wednesday that it used a list from the site, which has been accused of doxxing people whom it sees as being anti-Israel and antisemitic.

Stop asking billionaires questions, recording their answers and sharing their uninformed and/or racist and/or otherwise bigoted and nonsense ideas as journalism. It’s ridiculous. They are the most boring people. Oh wah I am a white man who has more money than I can spend and I’m so mad about it!

On this note: universities were literally creating policies last November *before the election* to comply with new CHIPS language restricting scientific collaboration with people from certain countries, including China
Tangentially: also Jasmine Crockett had a press release last month about how dangerous the Chinese are! Can we stop acting like Sinophobia is a GOP problem when this yellow threat bit is a bipartisan phenomenon that was legally furthered by the Biden admin in the CHIPS Act???

Feels like this is echoing the turn towards big funding for social impact films in Hollywood some years ago, but then actually that leading to apolitical films without social justice outcomes.
This is really disappointing (and disingenuous: AI is by definition unethical in its environmental impact alone, let alone the theft and exploitation)
