Well hello there SoCal heat.
My poor coffee was struggling in the car. I said I would be “no more than 10 minutes” so I didn’t put up my windshield visor — 1.5 hours later, I hop in the car after loaded several shopping bags. Gotta give it to the ice. They held on! 😂

Watching the streets of east side LA get emptier and whiter this week has been chilling. This is a city of immigrants and it feels so hollow when they can’t participate in public life without fear

Police advice is to call the police to see if police are really at your door. Must apply to ICE etc as well. No more masks. Clear name badges and IDs. Warrants.

And the feds must stop arresting and roughing up elected officials for asking questions. This can inspire violence. Games must stop now.
We have entered the "The police is saying that if the police is at your door you are not safe call the police immediately" stage of making America great again

The suggestion that Kristi Noem, a white woman, is the "delicate, beautiful, tiny" victim after a Latino man is physically dragged out of a room fits into the admin's pretext of criminality it attaches to people who are not white.

Like Rep. LaMonica McIver.
The "delicate, beautiful, tiny" fascism of Kristi Noem
The right thinks Noem is the victim of Sen. Padilla's assault. But what about Rep. McIver?

It’s disturbing that we must deal with RFK Jr’s nonsense because he fails to get the help he needs to fight his internal demons. It seems to be a common thread woven through this administration.
RFK Jr. promised under oath not to take away vaccine access. He broke that promise again today.

ACIP determines which vaccines are covered by major insurers. Replacing career civil servants w/political appointees (or disbanding ACIP altogether) will reduce access for *millions of Americans*
BREAKING: RFK Jr. fires ACIP, the panel responsible for advising on vaccines.

This breaks a promise to Sen. Bill Cassidy, who voted to advance Kennedy as HHS secretary on the condition that he would, among other things, keep ACIP in place.

All while ripping away food & healthcare from working-class families.

Are the family values in the room with us?

The majority of the resistance has been peaceful and when things have escalated, it was by the authorities. If this authoritarianism isn’t confronted, it will become normalized. We’ve seen this blueprint before.
