Colbert being dropped by CBS is a symptom, not the cause. Behind the scenes, mergers like Verizon/Frontier & Charter/Cox & CBS/Skydance are reshaping media & telecom. Fewer companies = fewer choices, less local news, more gatekeeping. This isn’t innovation, it’s monopoly power.

This ruling is bigger than immigration. It’s about who gets to belong, who gets to live, and who gets due process. And right now, the Court says: not everyone. That should terrify ALL Americans.

The 14th Amendment guarantees birthright citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil. But if the government/authoritarian regime can deport someone days or weeks before they give birth, they’re effectively deciding who gets to be born American.

People get so uncomfortable with “Progressives” when the reality is we are just people who believe in “PROGRESS” and moving forward. God forbid a girl just wants affordable healthcare, reproductive care with an OBGYN who can do their job to save my life, and accessible transportation.

We’ve lost the ability to have uncomfortable conversations. Now, every disagreement is labeled an argument. But we should be emotional, our generation has fewer rights than our parents. Critical thinking isn’t dead, it’s just been replaced by Facebook debates with Aunt Karen.

It’s such a privilege to walk through life in this current political climate and not be impacted by the headlines. Choosing to protect your peace is one thing but to ignorantly ignore the threats and pain of marginalized communities is just plain evil.
