One of the hallmarks of authoritarianism is to terrify people into self-censorship. ABC ending Kimmel’s show is the perfect example of this.

Watching Solo travel with Tracee Ellis Ross and I was like we are so much alike. She’s also a Scorpio. This explains so much.

The most dystopian part about social media is living in America where we are seeing the fall of democracy and at the same time people are glued to their TVs about a cheating scandal at Coldplay and Love Island. Wild.

We aren’t talking about media mergers as much as we need to. The consolidation of power for media and telecoms is what we are seeing in real time.
Breaking news: “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert will end in May 2026, CBS said in a statement.

The announcement came days after Colbert spoke out against the $16 million paid earlier this month by Paramount, the parent company of CBS News.
Stephen Colbert’s ‘Late Show’ canceled by CBS, to end in May 2026
CBS said in a statement that it was “purely a financial decision.” The show launched with Colbert as host, executive producer and writer a decade ago.

Colbert being dropped by CBS is a symptom, not the cause. Behind the scenes, mergers like Verizon/Frontier & Charter/Cox & CBS/Skydance are reshaping media & telecom. Fewer companies = fewer choices, less local news, more gatekeeping. This isn’t innovation, it’s monopoly power.

This is the blueprint:
Strip rights from the most vulnerable.
Make it look procedural.
Call it “discretion.”
And move on before the public notices.
This is what the 6-3 Court just endorsed.

“The gov’t is free to deport anyone, anywhere, without notice or a chance to be heard.” This isn’t immigration reform. It’s a due process crisis. #SCOTUS #BirthrightCitizenship

Justice isn’t blind—it’s being dismantled.
Sotomayor called this decision “incomprehensible and inexcusable.”
She’s right.
We’ve crossed into a country where you can be deported without warning, without defense, without rights.

This ruling is bigger than immigration. It’s about who gets to belong, who gets to live, and who gets due process. And right now, the Court says: not everyone. That should terrify ALL Americans.

The 14th Amendment guarantees birthright citizenship to anyone born on U.S. soil. But if the government/authoritarian regime can deport someone days or weeks before they give birth, they’re effectively deciding who gets to be born American.

People get so uncomfortable with “Progressives” when the reality is we are just people who believe in “PROGRESS” and moving forward. God forbid a girl just wants affordable healthcare, reproductive care with an OBGYN who can do their job to save my life, and accessible transportation.

Cuffing a U.S. Senator isn’t law enforcement.
It’s a power move.
A warning. And if you think they’ll stop at Padilla, you’re not paying attention.

Cuts to Medicaid means less preventive care, delayed diagnoses, and lack of treatment = higher mortality. Ugh. What happened to caring about community and humanity.

We’ve lost the ability to have uncomfortable conversations. Now, every disagreement is labeled an argument. But we should be emotional, our generation has fewer rights than our parents. Critical thinking isn’t dead, it’s just been replaced by Facebook debates with Aunt Karen.

Where is the humanity? Are people jaded? Is the over consumption of news making us numb to the violence inflicted on humanity? Did we lose our sense of empathy and compassion for our neighbors? I think about this on the daily. Just me? K, cool.

It’s such a privilege to walk through life in this current political climate and not be impacted by the headlines. Choosing to protect your peace is one thing but to ignorantly ignore the threats and pain of marginalized communities is just plain evil.

Every time I hear on the news of the chaos happening and protests taking place I still remember that it hasn’t even been a year. LOL.

The Signalgate “idiot” who caused — and is now investigating — the scandal reportedly hosted multiple chats about national security on the app.

You can’t make this shit up. 🙄

Not sure who needs to hear this, but to become a naturalized US citizen, an immigrant green card holder must ALREADY pass a high school level test on American history and civics.

Most native-born Americans would fail the test if they had to take it

Mary Kate and Ashley out of their damn minds for this price. This is like the one strawberry for $19 - it only causes a discussion and people buy it just to “try”. No one needs a $600 plastic flip flop.
Would you buy the Row's $690 rubber flip-flops? Reporters and editors from the New York Times Styles section sat down to debate the polarizing shoes.
