We are a social species, and we have always prevailed through cooperation. Caring for our sick. Raising children we didn't sire or birth because they were part of our village or extended family. We are not breeders and predators, we are communicators and survivors. We evolved to UNITE.

I absolutely love this. Well said, Jack.
Trump doesn't seem to see that some people are still immune to his threats.

Jack White criticized Trump's Oval Office decor. The White House then called White a "washed-up, has-been loser... masquerading as a real artist." And White, undeterred, posted an absolutely blistering takedown in response.

Juneteenth calls us to understand the realities of our past, celebrate the resilience and achievements of Black Americans, and align the course of our country toward its founding creed of liberty and justice for all. Wishing everyone a meaningful Juneteenth!

The most clear statement on the situation in LA that I’ve seen yet.
My thoughts on what’s going on in Los Angeles:

Has anyone else’s saved places disappeared from Google Maps?

It seems that they are still showing up with an icon on the map but no longer show up in the search. Anyone else having this issue?
June 9, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Indeed! We were just talking a lot about this at the living future conference last week.
Libraries are excellent. We need more third places in general, though.
Wanna reduce crime?

Open more libraries.

"we find within the nearby proximity of the library; there is a substantial reduction in frequency of burglaries, vandalism, robberies, fraud, and assaults."

Big day today for #GoAvsGo. Game 7s are so nerve-racking.

It’s gotta be Cale that finally breaks through and then the otter dam is broke. Avs succeed in finally defeating Dallas DeBoers.

Makar for #AvsPsychic and to get the big hat! Let’s go Avs!

@playmetrics.com any update you can provide on the outage? Clearly the value of your product is demonstrated now that no one on my son’s soccer team knows what to do as it’s down lol. 😂 Back to old school communication!

I absolutely love playoff hockey. It’s so intense, never a dull moment. But man, is it stressful! 😬
Let’s go Avs! Close this out please.

Tonight is the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. May his memory remind us all to resist the tyranny forming in our government.

A good sign that the courts are calling out the illegal and inhumane actions by the President’s administration.
Now we keep pushing to hold them accountable.

Good to see some large institutions standing up to the illegal actions of this administration. We must continue to call out wrongdoings and push back.

EVs are a good short term step to decarbonize but the negative issues with single occupant vehicle use go way beyond the vehicle emissions. Land use, embodied carbon, social connectivity, and physical health are big ones. Many places use coal and NG electricity, so the EV emissions are still bad.

Let’s continue to be courageous! Welcome to Bluesky, Kamala. We’re so glad to see you. 🩵💚
Fear has a way of being contagious.

But courage is also contagious.

This is not good. Please keep spreading the word that critical federal agencies are still under attack. The impact to our safety and well being will be significant.
My friend from the NOAA lab that brings you the Keeling Curve wants that world to know that things are horrible inside NOAA.

This is amazing!! 💚🩵 I can’t wait to learn more.
Basically, everything I’ve been dreaming of related to an urban environment that truly prioritizes human, natural, social, and emotional capital. Well done, Vauban.
A former French military base, Vauban is a thriving neighbourhood of 5,500 residents connected to Freiburg town centre by bus and light rail. Built in the late 1990s as a radical experiment in low-car living, it forgoes virtually all on-street parking in favour of active, green, and social spaces. 🧵

Love it. Very on brand for a snowy frozen force of nature. ❄️ 💨
Blues coming in pretty hot on Saturday so this theory will be put to the test. Let’s make it five wins in a row and 13 of 15! #GoAvsGo
Senators had won 6 of 7. Avs thumped them.

Habs were 8-1-3. Avs thumped them*

Kings had won 9 of 10. Avs thumped them.

Colorado is the hottest team in the NHL. It’s also become the league’s top cooler.

Martin Necas, Cale Makar help red-hot Avalanche roll past Kings
Things are going so well for the Colorado Avalanche right now that Devon Toews made as many saves during the second period Thursday night as the opposing goaltender.

This is so cool! I love when athletes use their platform to make the world a better place. Thanks Jaylen Brown. Learning IS cool.
Earlier this season, Jaylen Brown announced to the universe that he wanted to meet one of his idols. Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Last Friday, Brown and Nye teamed up to launch Brown's newest signature basketball shoe.

The ignorance of their impacts of all the unapproved DOGE actions is concerning but this is the worst one I’ve seen yet. Very concerning for what else they’re willing to do.
The blood that Elon Musk and his DOGE-cronies have on their hands because of the PEPFAR Funding Suspension.

200.000+ people not getting their daily HIV medication.

This is unacceptable, illegal, cruel, and obviously not about waste.
Letters went out to federal workers this morning stating they were fired due to poor performance. However, all employees had been rated as “exceptional” performers by their supervisors. Please keep these records and pursue wrongful termination claims. Let the lawsuits begin.
