My work recently started using needles that have a cover that avoids having your fingers near the pointy end when capping. I've yet to use one, because 100% of the stuff I personally do that's easier with a needle can be done with a blunt needle. Solutions need to account for lazy/rushed behavior.

Thinking on the lessons I've seen from @funranium.bsky.social and other safety professionals, behaviors should basically be the *last* thing on the list of Ways to Reduce [Accident]. Minimize how often needles need to be handled. Choose needle types less likely to result in accidents.

On the one hand, T&S, and especially Jay, have done nothing to earn trust.

On the other, good moderation at scale is impossible and it certainly *sounds* like an email was missed at the most charitable interpretation.

Project 2025, in its essence, predates Trump's run for office. The masterminds have intended to destroy all that is good and just in America their whole lives. They are enemies of the Constitution.

They're starving poverty stricken Americans because they like hurting people. It's the conservative mind. It gets positively giddy at hurting people. They've hurt people all their lives and Trump gives them the ability to do it more. They're not cowed, they found a guy that accomplishes their goals.

I hope that one day the reaction to finding out someone was a Republican after 2016 is to totally ostracize them. They can rejoin society after they have undone all of the damage their votes wrought*.

*The damage is, of course, permanent. The lives already lost cannot be returned.
