Oh, and fun fact: the occupational therapist I saw declared that the joint was dead center between the basic swan neck and the boutonniere. I chose the basic one to minimize restriction on closing my hand. My index finger had even more ROM, but I can control it better. Not the clearest pic, but...

I also have my inside kitties. Frostbite thinks boxes are far superior to cat beds. Andy thinks cat beds are nice. Frostbite also likes to burrow under blankets.

I give you Scamper, the most charismatic cat I've ever known. She was one of my mother-in-law's barn cats. Multiple people offered to buy her immediately after seeing her. They were all rebuffed.

This is Mocha. Her mama was one of my MiL's barn cats. She got hit by a car when Mocha (b. 2019) and her siblings (5 kittens in total) were itty-bitty and none of the other queens was lactating to take over Kitten Care Duties. Mocha is big and healthy these days.

My MiL had a cat that would pull that all the time. Just flopped over on her side asleep in the middle of the horse pen, the open gateway, somewhere on the lawn...
