A Change.org petition to incorporate the Kenyan Constitution, 2010, into the national school curriculum as a mandatory, examinable subject is gaining massive traction, reflecting a significant appetite among Kenyans for deeper constitutional literacy. Filed approximately two months ago by Ng'ang'a Muigai, the petition, titled Katiba Shuleni 2026, went largely unnoticed outside a small circle until this week, when it suddenly picked up widespread traction across social media. Yesterday, it stood at just over 10,000 signatures. As of this morning, roughly 20 hours later, the number has already grown by 2,000+ new signatures, signalling that a significant number of Kenyans agree with the proposal.
