Just average. Ireland. IT (sort of) worker (also sort of). Mother of human and cats. Sometimes the world changes quicker than I do and that's scary but I try my best.
Disaster averted, got turkey foil. Project Christmas might still be on schedule.

We've raised almost two grand since we hit target the other day so just in case today was pay day.....

Done, and dusted 😊

It's been a long month so I won't up the target, I'm tired of pushing. I will keep it open until New Year's Eve for any late donations.

Thank you *so* much - that's €250,000 raised for amazing charities since 2018. I literally couldn't have done any of this without you 💘

Shares are amazing, donations, for the DSPCA and @unicefireland.bsky.social's Gaza and Lebanon appeal, are amazing, if you can xxx

We are at just shy of €17,000 today after a huge chunk of donations yesterday I can only attribute to BlueSky.

€18,000 by the end of the day?

19.........?

A fairy godmother/godfather to help us hit the target?!????
When we finished at the end of last year we had 1,600 donations and €40,000.

This year we have had less than 500 so far.

Any donation you can give to the work of the DSPCA and @unicefireland.bsky.social's Gaza and Lebanon appeal is truly appreciated.

Almost at €13,000.

The progress is torturous this year as I don't have the Twitter megaphone anymore.

Can we prove #SpeirGorm that this place might be useful to raise funds for incredible organisations too?

We have dear Palestinian friends in Ireland, a young family that have already lost 28 family members on the father's side, including 26 killed in one day. Last night, the mother's parents were both killed, hours before they'd hoped to cross the border to safety. It's unbearable that this continues

Today is the FINAL day to place pre-Christmas-arrival orders on www.ciaraioch.com if they're going to the US, Australia or NZ (and for Canada, but the postal strike there means they can't be sent until it's lifted). There's also discount tracked shipping and the last of my sanity with every order.

@dublincitycouncil.bsky.social really needs to "work on the basics" as its new CEO Richard Shakespeare pledged last April, saying "a clean city with well-maintained footpaths, functioning street lights, is, I think, vital and feeds into perception of safety" ...
South Anne St., Dublin 2, in the so-called Grafton Quarter, displaying the black blobs of tarmac infill where utility companies have dug up the street & failed to re-instate the surface. Ugly! Why does the @dublincitycouncil.bsky.social allow this desecration to happen?

Marie Sherlock wins pretty comfortably in the end.

For all the confusion about "how Dublin central could vote for a criminal", that constituency has elected a Cabinet Minister, the leader of the opposition, and centre left candidates in the SDs and LAB this weekend. Pretty reasonable voting. #ge24
