Hot take: voting should be daily, not annually. We should be required to pass a civics captcha, which shows that you understand the civics question, and you can try infinitely until you get it right, every day. And you should be paid with a meal for your vote.
Does bsky have a plan to show country of origin for accounts?

I can't believe I have to say this.

Being silly does not automatically make you a goose.

This should not be controversial.

How to Get Rid of "Citizens United"
We can do away with it without a new Supreme Court. Nor do we need a constitutional amendment. There’s a far simpler way.

Fun fact: Pete Hoekstra, the US Ambassador who berated Canada for “interfering” in their politics with the Regan anti-tariff ad...

Was accused of interfering in Dutch politics in his previous job of Ambassador to the Netherlands by holding a fundraiser for a Dutch far-right party at the US Embassy.

Thought experiment:

Consider the writing structure and cagy nature of the release of emails from the Epstein estate.

Now, consider the communications sent between Tyler Robinson and his counterparties.

Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it.

The rest of us get dragged along regardless.

We who learn history are putting horrors in our memories.

The challenge, then, is not talking about this at social engagements, because it kills the vibe.

One of my biggest faults is that I think I'm smarter than I am. For example, one time I entered round 1 of a math puzzle contest and I blasted through the puzzle and mailed it off without even double checking to see if I did it right. When I didn't hear back on "round 2" I wrote an angry follow up
