They're a double-edged sword. They speed up your web experience by allowing your behavior to be logged to your device so you don't have to re-perform actions. But those same things can be used to reveal your patterns. So, slower experience is safer. Like driving a car.

The net result of this would be that people understand their local government better, and our representatives would less often get away with promising something verbally and then voting another way.

It's a win in so many ways.

How would daily voting be possible? Because we would "vote" by putting on signatures on petitions, by proposing initiatives, or voting in the traditional sense. We could fill in the gaps, there are plenty of things that need consensus of the public that we over-rely on electeds for.

Why daily voting? Because people want to care about their government but they're separated from it by large gaps in time. And so we rely on media personalities to interpret the political landscape for us, leaving us open to manipulation. Daily voting addresses this somewhat.
