Under Fascism, the state makes sweeping changes (sold as an attack on waste, fraud, and abuse) in the name of efficiency…and “the trains will run on time!”

Tomorrow will be the start of some difficult times. My priorities:

Take care of myself: spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially.

Then same for my family.

Then my community, especially those less fortunate than me/ us.

Then my state (California).

Pick the circles you can influence.

Good news, according to Zeke Lunder at The-Outlook.org is that both the Palisades and Eaton fires are out. Hopefully these things don't start up again with the re-appearance of the Santa Anas.

Lee Sklar on Bass, Jan Hammer on keyboards and Tommy Bolin on guitar. And of course, Mr. Billy Cobham.

Pure bliss.

This is one of those songs that needs a powerful stereo, including a well powered SW. Turn it up to at least 10.

Either this ref has served or knows someone who has.

Great salute:

upper arm parallel to ground,
forearm at a 45 degree angle,
hand straight and touching brim of his ballcap.

The average Trader Joe's store is 15,000 square feet, with only 4 - 6 aisles, yet it only takes about 3 seconds for me to lose my wife in one.

I get fascinated by some item for a moment, then look up and Poof! She's gone.

That guy you see searching each aisle for someone? Me.

December is Meyer Lemon time.

Fun fact: Meyers are actually a cross between a citron and a mandarin/pomelo hybrid.

I always thought the Follow Train culture on Twitter to be kind of pointless. Reminds me of some of the same shenanigans that are present for content creators on YouTube.

I'm choosing to be selective in who I follow, and who follows me. I'm no longer interested in all the political soap opera.

Each of the layers of sediment (chert) in this photo represents 20,000 years of deposits made on the seabed floor, eventually rising up via plate tectonics. The Golden Gate National Recreation Area is a treasure.

We adopted Frodog 5 years ago, and he's been a constant joy. He's half German Shepherd and half Yellow Lab, so he sheds a lot and loves to play catch. Only problem is he doesn't want to give the ball back. Weirdo.
