I remember the frustration in getting my son tested for learning style/ ability and finding nothing really. I really wish schools would test first and then provide learning paths to take advantage of each style. Or expand teaching materials to accommodate these different styles.

Absolutely. I've tested high enough on IQ tests to join Mensa, but because I'm a primarily visual learner, rote memorization of individual facts without a context to apply them to makes traditional academic learning a big challenge.
