The media keep calling Salvadorian death camp „mega-prison” and it pisses me off. Prisons don’t have mass graves, they do not intentionally starve and torture inmates. This is not a fucking prison and the US is complicit in more than one genocide.

I think Snyder puts it really well when he says American dream has turned into American nightmare. Once capitalistic culture of independence meant „anyone can achieve success, so can I” now it means „some people have it way worse than me and I enjoy watching them suffer”.
