At the #library, sometimes we take a break from the books to do crafting! These lil pinecone snow buddies were perfect for a program & then turn around for a "Take n Make." A patron said, "These crafts help me feel joy, which can be hard to find these days."

Library staff are also very tired of people thinking it will help them with their legal troubles. PLEASE for the love of all that is holy, DO NOT use ChatGPT as a personal lawyer. That's not going to go well. Most counties in the US have free legal hotlines and most forms are on (dot)gov websites.

To this point: Everything is a subscription and it doesn't even make the experience of anything better. Everything is an app and nothing works on a browser anymore. To that end, I'm hoarding CDs and Dvds. You can take my physical media from my cold, dead hands!!
I think a big thing I struggle with, and something that is an important thing for people of my generation to attempt to understand, is separating toxic nostalgia from knowledge of the actual ways in which American life has gotten appreciably worse in my lifetime

Finally, finally read the "House of Frank" by Kay Synclaire and it feels like if Studio Ghibli was made for adults to come to terms with grief and death. 100/10, queer rep and trans rep, cozy read in that the conflicts are inter-personal, no fighting evil/saving the world. (1/2)

I wish I could tell you all that I have been gone because I wrote an epic novel, but no. I fostered 3 kittens, got their feral mother fixed, and found homes for all of the kittens. That's it, that's the accomplishment. "Pet Tax" seen below!

I went to Daiso in Medford, OR, and lemme tell ya I spent waaaay too much on the Japanese snack aisle. This is probably the last time I can buy them, sadly. The tariff situation means there will be a price hike in the near future. Coworkers love them though! They've never had most of these flavors.

God, I really wanted to like Alien Earth, but jfc this is a mess. The sound editing is so bad and it's sooo distracting. There's also just, "HEY HERE'S A DISNEY PROPERTY!" every 3 seconds. Noah Hawley just has no confidence in his shots at all, and it's all overlays on overlays.

Inspired from recent events: Guy has a dog, except it's obviously not a dog. It's an Eldritch monster that clearly feeds off of hatred and fear. The guy keeps saying evil shit to "feed the dog." One day, without warning, the man says something so cruel/ hateful that the dog eats him. End.
