Dragged my tired ass to the computer store, only to realise it was closed for BC's Family Day. The goblin in my head is pleased by this corporate show of worker benefits, but unsatisfied by its inability to obtain new rolls of the glorified weed wacker wire. 😔

Got back on my ADHD meds after a bunch of confusion with my pharmacy, so I was finally able to get a new pin design up. 🫠 Here's a nice thunderstorm cloud with lightning, because that's how we're feeling right now, right?

Looked at an Etsy shop I liked and discovered they are closing down, so I went on Instagram for the first time in forever to read their post, and discovered the comic shop I've hosted TCG meetups at for 1.5 years is ALSO closing down. That's enough internet for me tonight. x.x

it's particularly weird when people confront a horror creator about their discomfort, because horror is a genre which is specifically designed to make you uncomfortable. you don't have to ENJOY it, but you don't get to say "you did this wrong" just because discomfort wasn't what you were seeking
Discomfort is not harm. Internalize that.
Discomfort is not harm, and if you're made uncomfortable by the work of a total stranger who does not know you exist, you can just process on your own and move on. You do not need to make it anyone's "fault" and no one needs to be "held accountable" for it.

If you dislike something or it makes you uncomfortable, that’s okay! But you don’t need to let the creator know. You don’t need to let anyone know, honestly. You can just ignore it and move on with your life. Fandom is about enjoying the things you like, not bashing the things you hate.

The thought in my head with these strikes is that these services operated for decades without falling into financial ruin, and now suddenly everyone is running out of money. Where did it go?? Did the 1% take THAT much that it's just all gone?? Are we going to run out?? Can that happen?? It's unreal

Maybe it's just bc I'm really jaded at capitalism atm, but I am pretty annoyed that the government may end up intervening in the Canada Post strike. CP sat on the union's last offer for five days! They tried to fire striking workers! They didn't bargain in good faith presumably so this would happen.

Started to dip into designing some fandom pronoun pins! Just some quick test prints for now, but here's a nintendo switch, a totoro, a star trek/starfleet delta and a pair of portals from the portal video game for the trans, enby & other folks that are into that kinda thing. (It's me. I'm into it.)

Could have done without the construction crew outside my window running a very loud generator thing of some kind at 7:45 am. This is not my natural time to be awake.
