Liberal Democrats are fighting to save the high street AND cut your cost of living.

Our plan would cut your energy bills, slash VAT for hospitality, and put £270 back in your pocket.

As Labour proposes limiting the protection of the ECHR, we must remember what it was set up to do; protect us all from abuses of power by our govts.
Be v wary then of anyone calling to do that. You may not be the target now. But why shouldn’t you be next?

Abominable language from Mahmood feeding the Farage narrative instead of challenging lies peddled by Reform, Tories & the malign media. Decent Labour MPs need to get a grip to stop this descent into Trumpian levels of distortion about migrants & refugees @kevinbonavia.bsky.social
We have a series of overly ambitious, immoral bureacrats vying to upsell a narrative of racist division, not because they believe it, but because they think the easiest path to power in a country ruled by the right-wing press is to prove they are the most racist option.

Denmark has one of the most inclusive PR systems in the world, so its coalitions tend to cover a broad spectrum of policy. We just get Labour policy.
Intrigued that the Labour Party has a Denmark policy - seize jewellery and assets from asylum seekers - and also an anti-Denmark policy - don’t tax middle earners enough to support welfare state.

The government won’t achieve ‘decency’ over ‘division’ by trying to be Reform Lite and please remember this - the ECHR is much more than a treaty. It’s a quiet promise - a shield against abuse of power, a lifeline for the vulnerable, a declaration of who we are as a nation
Labour’s plan risks weakening protections for all of us. Human rights are universal - politicians may not always find them politically convenient but it shouldn’t fall to any government to say who those rights should and should not apply to. It’s a slippery slope to oblivion youtu.be/bl0Lm7v_T18?...

Bias is often in the eye of the beholder

So let’s stick to measurable facts

During 10 yrs of debate about Brexit, BBC QuestionTime had Britain’s Members of the European Parliament on the show 50 times

Every single one was from the pro Brexit minority

47 were from UKIP/BP

23 times Farage

A complete lack of awareness and a national embarrassment.
Just some British patriots in Benidorm, taking over a street in Spain to shout in their own language about unwanted foreigners. It’s a blessing that they are too thick to understand irony.

Here’s Farage calling him an “honest, decent and honourable man”.

Let’s not forget that whilst he was taking the bribes, Farage was making similar pro-Russian speeches in the European Parliament.
