So, a question I don't think I've seen discussed: suppose Hegseth leaves DoD (for any reason). What happens then? This DOJ will not prosecute. Does he start talking? Armchair QB? Disclosing unpleasant facts? Is that a barrier to pushing him out? Crimes in office make leaving office...complicated.
