There have been many things that were once traditions that are now looked upon with varying degrees of disdain. Human sacrifice, smoking in public places, segregation, etc. Abandon the old tradition of a dead bird and embrace #ThanksLiving. Adopt a live turkey and embrace kindness.

I'm over 5 years vegan and I don't regret a moment of it. I do regret causing direct harm to animals with my choices.
I have no idea why it's so hard for some to make the connection between humans and animals. Humans are evolved animals, we don't need to exploit them, it's a choice.
