Anti-trans campaigners have previously used dead authors to try and promote their cause, including Daphne du Maurier and Emily Dickinson

You’ll be too young to remember, but there was a time when you could wake up as many as three mornings in a row and not find the world had lost its fucking mind.

Until I read Everything is Tuberculosis by @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social I hadn’t thought about the impact TB had on my family. My grandmother went into treatment right after having my dad. He stayed with his grandmother until he was 18months old.

I fully understand why but it makes me sad that the shuttle ends so early. I have to stay off-site this year and use a cain thanks to medical reasons but all the good stuff happens after 6pm lol.

I’ll be shocked if this isn’t sill bleeding dye at the grande bataille. Future Misery will need to remember not to wear white with it.

I bought a headpiece to wear to Bicollines Purple Ball but it reminds me of the statue of liberty. Whoops 😂

I’m saying this with kindness.
Not every person can take part in the Buy Canadian movement or drop Amazon.
I live in a remote place with limited choices and it’s really expensive to ship anything up here. Many people in places like this rely on Amazon for the basics, which can be 25% more locally.

Finally got all the bits needed to make my Landsknecht/Trossfrau dress. I don’t have a useable pattern for my size so I’m making it up as I go along. Especially since I have to use cotton instead of wool. This is going to be a Frankenstein project. Thankfully I already have enough outfits for Bico 😆

Remember that tech is not magic. Half of the internet is held together with duct tape and a prayer that some dude in Idaho doesn't die because he's the only one who knows how some archaic old bit of code works.

I don’t know what it is about 3 to 6 in the morning that makes it easier to do things. Maybe the world being so still and quiet does the same thing to my brain.

Remember when the pandemic hit (still happening btw) and suddenly accessibility became possible overnight? Remote work, VOD releases, curbside pickup, telehealth, flexible attendance - stuff disabled ppl had been requesting forever... all because capitalism needed it to keep running.

I have to drive past where my dad died several times while I am home for Christmas. They didn’t replace the pole he hit, just put a new one behind it. I hate seeing that cracked pole so fucking much.
