Bloody hell - the car tax on my new old “bangernomics” car is £400 a year.

I’m quite a volume drinker so I rather like lower alcohol beers, but is it actually possible to make the much unloved Fosters weaker and it still be a beer???

The Makropulos Case at the ROH for me this week - I enjoyed it (and that it’s winding people up) but the relatively chirpy music is a bit at odds with another Janáček centring on treating women appallingly.

I really liked the way West Streeting used a Traitors’ analogy on #BBC4Today - it was charming and shows he’s in touch.

If anything sums up 2025 Britain it’s the chaotic and surprise introduction of poppies with weird dagger shaped paper stems that no-one knows whether they are s’posed to go in your buttonhole or not.
