I got into the degree program I'd applied to, so now I can't go into hibernation 😁 (What a relief...!)
If I get any more bad news this week I'm just going to go to bed for the rest of the winter. I'm all out of cope.
Found out I lost two more loved ones. ... It seems a little weird to say 'two' when I barely knew the one, but I would have liked to have gotten to know her. I thought we'd have more time, but isn't that always the way?

No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.

i take frenzy damage every time i see someone go "well i just use it for the boring stuff". what are you TALKING about? if it's boring or unimportant, why are you putting it in? NPC dialogue is fertile ground for worldbuilding, creating verisimilitude, conveying important information, and hijinks!!
