One thing I like about Eastbourne is the coastal setting provides for the most wonderful photos, particularly at dawn. I took this one on a cold morning exactly a year ago outside the View Hotel at 7:49am.

Last time I shared this photo, no one believed it was taken in the UK. 🤷‍♂️
Does this site have fewer climate deniers, racists, flatearthers, pro russian supporters, disease deniers, and other morons than the other place?

Restless legs medication is one of life’s little ironies. They all have terrible side-effects some of them are addictive and some initially work but then make the symptoms worse and guess what? You can’t stop them straight away due to withdrawal symptoms, effects. And RLS itself is a living hell.

Gutted to read about Chris in the news today. What a legend, who selflessly gave his life whilst trying to disarm russian mines and protecting countless others from the same fate.

I have recently been using Aliexpress to evaluate some cheaper Chinese versions of the cripplingly expensive (£5K and upwards) fibre optic test equipment we use at work. You can buy pretty much anything from there. Including x-ray mammogram machines. 😵‍💫

My car, just returned from the garage after 356 days(!), seems to be very confused. The remote app thinks it’s offline because the car hasn’t been driven for more than 4 days, but won’t let me change any settings because it thinks I’m currently driving it. It also thinks it’s still in Cambridge. 🙄

An anniversary worth marking.

I'm sure we're going to see the very people who have trashed its legacy seek to appropriate WW2 today - so let's remember what was really fought for: peace, a more united Europe, a land fit for heroes (mark 2) and the defeat of fascism.

I have lived and worked in the USA, worked for 5 US based companies and flown to the US dozens of times since 1993.

I stopped going to the US when he got elected last time around. No intention of going back there ever again.

I’m not sure who else needs to hear this, but threatening a potential employer with legal action after being rejected—especially because there were stronger candidates and you haven’t found work in four(!) years—only makes you appear desperate and reaffirms that we made the right decision.

I figured it was a good idea to actually get some proper training on fibre installation rather than just winging it, especially with my role.

I deleted my X account for good. I hate what the world has become, but I particularly loathe the ketamine fueled cunt who runs the hollowed out husk that was twitter. No more will you get my ad revenue.

I’ve been on BlueSky for less than a week and at least 55% of the people following me are fake accounts (bots, scammers, etc.,).

Literally worse than X.

Another blue sky scammer, this time using an ethot’s profile pic from X.com.

GFY.

Well yeah if you ignore that NAT isn't just used to hide entire subnets behind a single IP. What about one to one nat or nat with port forwarding (Both features used extensively in the wild). Relying on a non-security feature for security will burn you sooner or later, usually sooner.
A hill I’ll die on every time: NAT is a security feature. It wasn’t intended as one, it shouldn’t be used as one, but it IS one. If I go into my router and disable the firewall, then do the same on every device I own, not a single extra device on my network becomes publicly exposed. That’s security.
