one thing i keep thinking about is how there is simply no way to design a constitutional system that can resist authoritarian incursion if participants in that system do not actually care that much

Interesting article but it also notes the deteriorating relationship between men and women where both parties are at each others throats. This doesn't bode well for society at all.

I think that many of the concerns regarding the incoming Trump administration are legitimate but at the same time, some of the things that folks are saying demonstrates a complete lack of understanding about how the US political system works.

This is such an interesting article with several good book recs discussing how the Democrats can reinvigorate and rebuild local groups and discussion between local and national Dem groups.

Personally I think this is a great article socialists should read.
